    Rank Advancement (Achievements)

The first rank that each boy must achieve, regardless of when he joins Cub Scouts is the Bobcat.

First grade boys will work with their adult partner and their den to earn their Tiger badge. There are Family, Den, and Go See It requirements in each of 5 different Achievement Areas. As each requirement is completed, the boy will earn a bead for their totem, showing their progress towards their rank badge.

A boy in the second grade will complete 12 achievements to earn the Wolf badge. Some of these will be done with the den while others will be completed at home. For every 3 achievements completed, the boy will earn a yellow bead to wear on his Advancement Toward Ranks totem.

In the third grade, there are 24 achievements in 4 major areas. Boys must complete 12 (in the proper areas) to earn their Bear badge. Some of these will be done with the den while others will be completed at home. For every 3 achievements completed, the boy will earn a red bead to wear on his Advancement Toward Ranks totem.

Webelos are boys in the 4th and 5th grade. To earn their Webelos badge, they must fulfill a number of requirements that lead them down the road to becoming a Boy Scout.

Parents should enter work towards Bobcat, Tiger, Wolf, and Bear badges which was done at home directly into ScoutTrack. For Webelos, achievements should be signed off and entered by your den leader.

The rank badges are to be worn on the uniform shirt. Badges of rank go on the left (relative to the wearer) pocket and totems on the right.
